Software Development Engineer in Test with Java

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in automation testing, with a proven track record of successfully implementing automated test frameworks.
  • Strong proficiency in Java programming language and object-oriented principles (OOP).
  • Solid understanding of automation testing frameworks, particularly Selenium, Cucumber, a testing framework like TestNG, JUnit, or similar.
  • Solid understanding of software development methodologies, including Agile and Scrum.
  • Experience in RESTful APIs and microservices architectures.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and cloud computing platforms, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Experience with containerization technologies, such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience with SDVI platforms and technologies, such as SDN (Software Defined Networking) and NFV (Network Function Virtualization).
  • Knowledge of video encoding/transcoding technologies and standards, such as MPEG-DASH and HLS, is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a strong attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Java and relevant frameworks (e.g., Selenium, TestNG).
  • Collaborate with developers and other QA testers to define a test automation strategy.
  • Analyze test results, identify bugs, and report defects effectively.
  • Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on automation code quality.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in automation testing.
  • Continuously improve the automation test suite and identify opportunities for automation.
