Job Overview

The Clinical Payments Specialist is a pivotal role responsible for the end-to-end management of global Investigator payments for assigned studies.

This specialist oversees the set-up, deployment, management and close-out of the study payments solution, ensuring seamless execution and compliance with contractual obligations.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure accurate and timely payment reconciliations at mandated intervals.
  • Analyze budgeted versus actual spend for assigned projects and provide insightful reporting needs as required, facilitating data-driven decision making.
  • Develop and provide comprehensive budgetary forecasts for project teams regarding investigator payments.
  • Design and distribute consolidated monthly payments reports detailing the status of paid/unpaid sites in assigned studies.
  • Prepare, participate in, and follow up on audits and inspections to ensure quality and excellence in financial management.

Requirements

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to navigate fast-paced and dynamic environments with poise and composure.
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment with sensitivity to decisions requiring supervisory approval.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, including the ability to develop efficient naming conventions and filing architecture.
  • Advanced skills in MS Office applications, particularly Microsoft Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint, and Publisher.

Preferred Qualifications

  • At least 2 years' experience in a CRO/Pharma Company or relevant industry roles involving qualitative data entry, data validation in Finance, Project Management, or Contracts.
  • Four-year college curriculum or university degree OR Two year college curriculum and one or more years' experience in office administration or similar position OR skill sets and proven performance equivalent to above.
  • English, written and spoken, advanced level.
